Post Kick-Off Adjustments to Performance Review Cycles

This article explains settings that can be adjusted after you've kicked off a review cycle, and which settings cannot be edited.

Only certain aspects of a Performance Review Cycle can be modified after you've kicked off a review. We recommend testing review cycles with your HR team prior to kicking off a cycle to the rest of your company to avoid any potential issues, but there are a number of settings that can be changed after you've kicked off a review cycle.

These items can be modified after you've kicked off a review cycle:

  • Cycle name

  • Label

  • Enabling or disabling Auto share (either for the entire cycle, or per individual reviewee)

  • Adding or removing a Review Summary (Summarized Ratings)

  • Due Dates

  • Automatic Reminders

  • Adding or removing users in assigned Performance Roles

TIP:

If you need to change participants in a review, navigate to the employee's review cycle > Actions (top right corner) > Settings to add employees as an administrator, writer or approver.

These items cannot be modified once a cycle has been kicked off:

  • Review type (What Kind of Review?)

  • Adding or removing an Administrator Template

  • Asking for approval from Review Admins

  • Adding or removing Performance Ratings and Summary

  • Adding or removing the Review Admin and/or Review Approver role

  • Changing Review Templates

  • Adding new reviewees with their own set of writers, admins, and approvers

  • Adding or removing Goals

  • Adding or removing eSignature
